Markaz al- Qiraa’aat is an online/ in person program that provides lessons in Islamic knowledge at various levels. We offer a number of courses in Qur’an, Tajweed, Tawheed, Fiqh, Hadith, and Lughah. Our main language of instruction is the English Language, and we are open to students of all ages.

Mission:
Engaging the Ummah more especially the youth to seek authentic Islamic knowledge based on the Qur’an and Sunnah endlessly and tirelessly.

Ustadh Abdul Rashid Umar

Ustadh Abdul Rashid Umar is a Ghanaian/Nigerian Islamic Scholar based in New York, USA. He is an Islamic teacher whose passion is teaching the Noble Qur’an and its various recitations/riwaayaat. He also gives lessons in Aqeedah(Creed), Fiqh((Islamic Jurisprudence),Hadith, Lugha(Arabic Language), and other Islamic disciplines. He is the founder and President of Markaz Al-Qiraa’aat located in The Bronx and Umar Farouq Center for Qur’anic Studies . He is the Khateeb of Masjid Sidiki in the Bronx, New York. His humble and kind personality has earned him the trust of the youth. He incorporates detailed accounts of Qur’an and Sunnah in his lectures. Alhamdulillah, he has been blessed with various Ijaazaat in different subjects of Islamic disciplines, among which are;
